Wildlife Management (1 Oct - end of the year)

We are about to enter another bow hunting season.† Your association does not officially sponsor hunting.. but we do announce the bow hunting season dates (1 OCT - the end of the year) for the information of the general membership.† Individual property owners who qualify under state law for hunting may hunt or authorize hunting on their property during this period.††The POA supports bow hunting as an alternative to use of high power weapons in our community and only†ask that neighboring property owners be notified when bow hunting is planned.
This program, as recommended by the game warden, helps us control the deer population without having to resort to the extreme measures other communities have had to adopt.
As part of our program, our Neighborhood Watch Program includes identification and reporting of unauthorized hunting.† There should be no hunting on property where the individual property owner has not specifically authorized the hunt.† Suspicious situations should be reported to the local game warden for investigation.
