Neighborhood Watch Meeting a Great Kick-off

The Neighborhood Watch organizational meeting was held Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003 at 7 p.m. at Ed and Martha Underwood's home. There was great participation from across the community. Presentations were made by the SW Bell County Fire Department, Game Warden, and the Sheriff's Office. A great deal of discussion resulted in a far better understanding of the situation in this area of the county and what action to take should a situation arise that needs attention. The Deputy Sheriff made a presentation on the Neighborhood Watch program. We collectively decided to begin that program in our community... which really only formalizes the way we continue to watch the neighborhood and look out for each other. You will soon see signs in our community indicating that we are a part of that program.
